Metuchen Public School District is excited to share a new resource available at our school called SafeNJ. This resource is available to download on any phone or device either from the Apple App Store or from Google Play. This is an easy-to-use, confidential platform that helps our students feel safe and get support whenever they need it. Sometimes our students need a little guidance—a compass to help them know where to turn—and with SafeNJ, we got you—and your child’s back.

Get Resources
SafeNJ connects students to important resources like clothing, food, shelter, and help with homework, substance use, dating, and more.
For more information about SafeNJ, please click on the SafeNJ Parent Information Flyer – there is a link on the flyer with a Parent/Guardian Training Video that will help you further understand what is offered. Students will also receive the SafeNJ Student Information Flyer to assist them. For further reference, we have included a SafeNJ Services Flyer to explain the items listed above. Throughout the year, you and your child(ren) will encounter additional visuals via Mr. Porowski’s Instagram account, through daily announcements, and signs around the building to remind everyone about the availability of this app and the supports that are offered.
Please encourage your child to use SafeNJ whenever they need support or just someone to talk to. Remember, we got you—our goal is to make sure everyone feels safe, cared for, and knows exactly where to turn.
