ART VISION STATEMENT

The arts enable personal, intellectual, social, economic, and human growth by fostering creativity and providing opportunities for expression beyond the limits of language.

All Metuchen students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of art experiences. It is our vision to expose the Metuchen students to a broad range of artistic experiences. They will explore art from different cultures, learning through art history and hands on studio experiences. The Metuchen Art Department realizes the importance of exhibiting students’ works throughout the district and beyond, thus, enabling the students to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them through art. It is our intent to provide our students with the tools to continue to appreciate and participate in art throughout their lives.
