A seasoned educator for the last twenty-nine years, Mr. Porowski was appointed principal of Metuchen High School in June 2021. From January 2014 through June 2021, Mr. Porowski was the principal of Campbell Elementary School, a New Jersey and National School of Character. Prior to that, Mr. Porowski was the K-12 Supervisor of English Language Arts and Social Studies in Metuchen. In total, Mr. Porowski has been part of the Metuchen Public School system for the past fifteen years.
Mr. Porowski received his Bachelor's in Education from The University of Scranton, Master's in Education in Developmental Reading from The College of New Jersey, and his administrative certification through the NJ EXCEL program from the Foundation for Educational Administration. Mr. Porowski was a Reading Specialist and Middle School Teacher in the Hillsborough Township Public School District.
Mr. Porowski resides in Hillsborough with his wife. His sons are both pursuing their academic goals in college, so while they are slowly adjusting to being empty nesters Mr. Porowski has taken the next step and is currently applying to doctoral programs.
