We at Metuchen School District understand the challenges of our students being on screen for extensive periods of time. To that end, Metuchen administrators, teachers and the Board of Education have worked collaboratively to establish a remote and hybrid instructional plan that ensures both the implementation of best practices in teaching (the Workshop Model) along with pedagogy that allows students to turn away from the digital screen and engage in other learning activities (that allow for breaks from the screen). This document shows how your child’s teacher/s will balance instructional time to maximize learning while reducing screen time.
