As schools and communities navigate the unprecedented challenges posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the health and safety of educators and students are the AP Program’s top priorities. Samantha Rubin, Student Assistance Coordinator, has created a section on her webpage that provides resources to assist parents, students, and educators during this time. All of these resources are listed under “Coping with School Closure.” She has listed resources from ways to talk to your children about crisis, mental health resources, as well as links to free activities including free meditations, virtual tours, dance classes, yoga classes and more!
Dear MHS Theater Parents and Supporters - Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, and the Metuchen School District closures, the MHS Theater Department Footlighters production of Legally Blonde scheduled for March 26-28 is temporarily suspended. We are hopeful that the performances will be rescheduled for future dates. At this time, the Theater Department is working closely with MHS administration to secure the exact dates of rescheduling. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this unique time. As soon as new details are available, you will be notified via the Metuchen Schools website and at MHSFootlighters.com Thank you for your continued support.
April 4 ACT Test date changed
The safety of students and test center staff is ACT’s top priority. ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date. Go to http://www.act.org/content/act/en/covid-19.html for answers to FAQs.
