  • At Senior Sign-Out, a Senior Assessment in the amount of $35.00 will be charged to each student. The Senior Assessment is an amount of money paid for cap and gown, two scholarships, and Project Graduation. In regards to the Project Graduation portion – each graduating class leaves a $1,000 donation to the following year’s graduating class. This practice has been in place since the first Project Graduation.

    The union construction trades offer hands-on demonstrations that provide a better understanding of what their craft entails. Their booths are colorful and eye-catching and certainly play an important role in the day’s success. The colleges and universities are on board to explain the construction degree-related programs offered at their facilities, while the trade associations, federal and state agencies have information on being successful along the construction career path.     This morning (4/19/18) was the Middlesex County Guidance Council Caring Award Ceremony. Will Hoover was the recipient for our school!
    The newly established Community Service Club is running a Toiletry/Personal product drive to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of New Brunswick. Students have been working very hard to get this community service project rolling. Donations can be placed in the collection box by the front doors. As always, thank you for helping in our Community Service efforts! See the attached flyer for details
    Please find attached the closing calendar for the high school for school year 2018. Please look over the calendar as it contains important dates, such as Underclassmen and Senior Final Exams, Science Assessment (GR 11), Senior Convocation, Commencement ceremony, etc.
    Downtown Metuchen invites you to a very special pre-prom party at the Metuchen Towm Plaza!
    The Junior-Senior Prom will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. PLEASE NOTE A NEW POLICY CHANGE - If your child is bringing an out-of-district guest to prom (this includes MHS Alumni), you must have your guest approved before you will be able to buy your prom tickets. Guest Application forms can be found in the Front Office or you can click on the heading MHS Prom and Out of District Guest Form above. All completed Guest Application forms must be returned to the Front Office no later than Monday, April 9, 2018. NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE ALLOWED. Tickets for Prom will be on sale April 23rd through the 27th during all lunch periods. Tickets are $75.00 each; $150.00 per couple.

    Ultimate Fashions in Woodbridge Center offers a discount to any Metuchen High School student – all you have to do is mention the high school. Dante Zeller Tuxedos of Metuchen will donate $5.00 for every tuxedo rented to Project Graduation. Discount coupons can be found in the Front Office.

    The Metuchen Municipal Alliance and the Metuchen Public School District welcome our residents and neighboring communities to join us for an educational parent series program. This is a FREE program for adults over 21 only that will consist of three monthly workshops discussing important health topics affecting today’s youth. These topics were chosen based on suggestions from participants answering the survey that was distributed after the DEA presentation of Hidden in Plain Sight at Edgar Middle School, December 2017.
