The Metuchen Municipal Alliance and the Metuchen Public School District welcome our residents and neighboring communities to join us for an educational parent series program. This is a FREE program for adults over 21 only that will consist of three monthly workshops discussing important health topics affecting today’s youth. These topics were chosen based on suggestions from participants answering the survey that was distributed after the DEA presentation of Hidden in Plain Sight at Edgar Middle School, December 2017. Click for the dates and topics.

On 2/6 Mr. Robbins and his A.P. Government and A.P. European history classes went to the N.J. Community Food Bank in Hillside to volunteer in the warehouse. Thirty of the students spend two hours putting together 514 boxes, each with 17 items of food, for senior citizens. The other 10 students put together over 600 boxes that will be used by other groups. We then had an hour presentation about poverty and the role that the NJCFB plays in trying to alleviate hunger.
