    Attention 9th Grade Parents
In response to the growing opiate epidemic, the Metuchen Police Department, Metuchen High School administration and the Metuchen Municipal Alliance, researched and vetted a new interactive high school opiate awareness program entitled #NotEvenOnce. Instructed by police officers, EMTs, and paramedics, this interactive course was a collaborative effort between law enforcement and educators with the goal of informing ninth grade students about the dangers of opiates. This year’s program was the pilot phase. Plans to roll out the program to the entire student body will be discussed in the near future. If you are the parent of a ninth grade student, please discuss with them what they learned and reach out to the school with any questions or concerns. This program met all of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for health classes. The ultimate goal of this program is to educate students about opiate abuse and give them the tools they need to make better decisions.
Prom Girl is offering a 5% donation to MHS as a thank you for hosting the Prom Girl Fashion Show. Click above for the details
Important information for all MHS parents! This is part of the the school-wide follow-up to the presentation of ANYTOWN, an opioid prevention play, that was shown to the entire student body in November. Follow the link above.
