The first big Saturday of the NJ outdoor season features several great meets, and the 5th Metuchen Relays promises to be one of the best meets in the state once again.

Another team hoping to use a solid 2013 season as a springboard for better things is Metuchen High School. The Bulldogs finished with a strong 16-9 overall record and finished second in the GMC Blue Division to state Group I champion Middlesex High School.

On Friday March 7th 2014 the sixth graders in Ms. Menafro, Ms. Kovacs, and Mrs. Elton's classes had an exciting guest speaker come to Edgar School.
Sixth-graders at the borough’s Edgar Middle School got a firsthand perspective on life in the military when Lt. Samantha Menafro came to the school on March 7 to share her experiences as a member of the U.S. Air National Guard.
50 Freestyle: Julie Stankiewicz, Metuchen. Tied for first at the GMC Championships (24.96), which broke the meet record. Also won the 100 freestyle (53.98).
There are not many “firsts” left for the Metuchen High School girls track program to achieve, but the Bulldogs got one this season, winning the Central Group I indoor title.

When Cassie Smith got to Metuchen High School four years ago, her main goal was to get to 1,000 career points.

The Bentley University-bound star led the state in points scored, field goals and free throws made, while finishing fifth in the state in scoring average at 27.9. Smith recorded 22 double-doubles in 29 games and averaged 13 rebounds per contest.
