    Work-Family Issues for Employed Parents of Children with Disabilities

    The Sloan Work and Family Research Network recently released an action plan generated from a panel meeting in May entitled Work-Family Issues for Employed Parents of Children with Disabilities. The plan recommends additional research to better understand the complex and often hidden hardships faced by working parents caring for children with disabilities and increasing the visibility of this issue to help inform employers, policy makers, and the public.

    Self-Directed Bill Passes Senate Committee

    Success at the State House

     

    Senate Bill 1650 "Self-Directed Supports Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Rights Act" passed unamioulsy at the Senate Health, Human and Senior Citizens Committee today in Trenton.  Autism NJ member Kathy Moore testified on behalf of her family and did a great job for the autism community.  Thanks you Kathy!
