It’s My Birthday and I’m Going to Have a Good Time

 At Moss School we will be celebrating birthdays with NON-FOOD celebrations.  This means that no food will be permitted for birthday parties.  You are welcome to send in NON-FOOD goody bags for the children in your child's class if you wish.

In addition, a family member is welcome to come in on the day of your child's birthday celebration and read your child's favorite story to the class.

Food Free Activities to Celebrate Birthdays

·           The child’s favorite story can be read while the child sits in front of the class.  He or she can share the reasons why the story is so special.

·           The child can select a book from the classroom library to be read to the class.

·           The class can sing a birthday song.

·           If a parent wants the class to receive a “treat” a kindergarten appropriate storybook can be donated.

·           A little novelty gift or prize can be distributed to each child (such gift should cost under a dollar per student).
