Dr. Caputo presented at the February 9 Board of Education meeting the midyear update on the 2015-16 District Goals.
Long time Metuchen Board of Education member Rose de Vries has resigned effective February 1, 2016. Ms. de Vries served with distinction for nine years and much was accomplished during her tenure.
We created a Homework Forum webpage where we uploaded documents with links to articles discussing homework. A parent homework survey also resides on the webpage. Please take the time to fill out the survey.

Metuchen Schools In the News

Metuchen has never won a sectional title, so this year's bunch could be setting history.
In an act of sportsmanship one league official described as “absolutely incredible,” Metuchen High School senior Michael Spark presented his Greater Middlesex Conference Championships first-place medal to the swimmer he believes is “its rightful owner.”
After opening the season with five losses in six games, it appeared the Metuchen High School girls’ basketball team was on its way to finishing with a losing record for the first time since 2008-09.

Danny Flaherty finished with a double-double, including four points in overtime, as the Metuchen High School boys basketball team defeated Middlesex 45-39 in a Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division matchup on Monday night.
The water bottle filling station at Metuchen High School has been a success with some 230,000 bottles saved over the past few years.
One hundred and six years after graduating its first class, Metuchen High School is announcing its inaugural Hall of Fame inductees.
